Responsibilities
Interested in turning your academic knowledge into real-world engineering impact? As an Intern (all genders) – CFD Simulation & Turbomachinery Development, you'll work alongside our engineering team on the analysis, design, and optimization of innovative components, gaining hands-on experience with advanced aviation technologies.
What you'll be working on:
- Running and evaluating 3D Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) simulations
- Automating pre- and post-processing workflows to improve simulation efficiency
- Supporting the development and optimization of turbomachinery workflows
- Assisting with CAD design and engineering tasks
- Contributing to the development of innovative system and component solutions
Requirements
- You are currently pursuing an advanced Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Turbomachinery, Computational Engineering, or a related field.
- You have gained initial hands-on experience with Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) through university projects, Formula Student, the DLR Design Challenge, or similar activities.
- Experience with Siemens Star-CCM+ is a plus.
- You have a basic understanding of turbomachinery fundamentals.
- You have some experience with Python programming.
- You work in a structured and proactive manner and enjoy tackling technical challenges.
