Responsibilities

We are seeking a Procurement & Sourcing Specialist (all genders) to join our team. In this role you take ownership of sourcing (together with the engineering department) and supplier interaction for prototypes and low-volume production and gradually build a procurement function that can scale into series production.
  • You take ownership of sourcing for prototypes and low-volume production, working closely with engineering
  • You search and select suppliers, manage RFQs, and compare costs and lead times
  • You negotiate pricing, lead times, and basic contractual terms
  • You clarify technical details with suppliers and support make-or-buy decisions
  • You create and maintain purchase orders, supplier data, and procurement documentation (including ERP)
  • You develop procurement processes and sourcing strategies to prepare for growth
  • You track supplier performance and risks and participate in early design reviews

Requirements

  • Degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration or similar
  • 3–7 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain (or engineering with procurement exposure)
  • Experience in prototype, R&D, or low-volume production is a plus
  • Ability to read drawings, BOMs, and understand manufacturing processes
  • Knowledge of cost structures, RFQs, and negotiation techniques
  • Strong Excel and ERP proficiency
  • Excellent English & German skills
